Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Merchandiser role based in Karur. The Merchandiser will coordinate with buyers and internal teams to manage product development, sampling, and order execution for home textile collections. Responsibilities include tracking orders, monitoring production timelines, ensuring product specifications and quality standards are met, and preparing product presentations and costings. The role involves regular communication with customers and suppliers, analyzing market trends, and collaborating with design and production teams to optimize assortments and improve sales. The Merchandiser will also help maintain accurate documentation, follow up on shipments, and support overall merchandising and marketing initiatives.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with buyers, suppliers, and internal teams.
Candidates should possess Sales and Retail skills to understand market requirements, product positioning, and order management.
Candidates should possess Marketing skills to support product presentations, promotions, and merchandising strategies.
Candidates should have good analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple orders and deadlines.
Knowledge of textiles or apparel merchandising, including fabrics, trims, and production processes, is highly beneficial.
Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office, email) and documentation is required.
A diploma or degree in Textile Technology, Fashion Merchandising, Business, or a related field is preferred.
