Role Description The Principal role at Bhavani Polytechnic College is a full-time, on-site position based in Erode. The Principal is responsible for providing academic and administrative leadership, including overseeing curriculum implementation, faculty performance, student services, and institutional operations. Daily responsibilities include supervising teaching activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements, managing budgets and resources, and maintaining a safe and inclusive campus environment. The Principal collaborates with faculty, staff, and external stakeholders to foster quality teaching, promote student success, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The role also involves representing the college in official forums, strengthening community and industry partnerships, and driving strategic planning and development.
Qualifications

Proven experience in academic leadership, such as Principal, Vice Principal, Head of Department, or similar role in a college or technical institution.
Strong capabilities in administration and operations management, including budgeting, resource allocation, and policy implementation.
Experience in curriculum planning, academic governance, and quality assurance aligned with regulatory and accreditation standards.
Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills to work effectively with students, faculty, staff, and external partners.
Demonstrated commitment to inclusive education, ethical practices, and student-centered decision-making.
Relevant postgraduate degree in engineering, technical education, or a related discipline; additional qualifications in education management or administration are an advantage.
Familiarity with government and regulatory bodies related to polytechnic and technical education, and ability to ensure compliance with their guidelines.
Ability to lead change, support faculty development, and promote innovation in teaching and learning.
