Role Description The Telecommunications Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Salem, responsible for managing and optimizing all telecommunications systems that support the practice’s daily operations. This role includes handling inbound and outbound calls, managing call routing and voicemail systems, and ensuring reliable connectivity for phone and related communication tools. The specialist will monitor system performance, identify issues, and coordinate troubleshooting or repairs with vendors and internal stakeholders. Daily tasks also include supporting front desk and clinical teams with communication needs, maintaining accurate call logs, and contributing to a positive patient experience through professional and courteous customer service.
Qualifications

Candidates should possess skills in Telecommunications Systems and Telecommunications to configure, maintain, and support voice and related communication platforms.
Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with patients, vendors, and team members.
Candidates should possess Troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently and minimize disruptions.
Relevant experience with office or healthcare communication environments, including multi-line phone systems or VoIP, is beneficial.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy clinical setting are preferred.
Basic IT literacy and familiarity with scheduling or practice management software are advantageous.
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or certification in telecommunications or IT support is a plus.
