Role Description The Senior Travel Consultant is a full-time, on-site role based in Salem, responsible for managing complex travel requirements for a diverse client base. The role involves advising clients on destinations, transport options, accommodation, and activities, while creating tailored itineraries that align with budget and preferences. The Senior Travel Consultant will handle bookings and reservations, coordinate changes or cancellations, and ensure accurate documentation for tickets, visas, and insurance. Daily responsibilities include responding to customer inquiries, resolving travel-related issues, maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, and monitoring travel trends to offer proactive recommendations. The role also includes mentoring junior staff, supporting process improvements, and meeting sales and service performance targets.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Travel Consulting and Travel Management skills to advise clients and oversee end-to-end trip planning.
Candidates should possess expertise in Travel Arrangements and Reservations, including flight, hotel, transport, and package bookings.
Candidates should possess excellent Customer Service skills, with the ability to handle inquiries, complaints, and last-minute changes professionally.
Candidates should possess solid communication and interpersonal skills to clearly present options and build long-term client relationships.
Candidates should possess good organizational and time-management abilities to manage multiple itineraries and deadlines accurately.
Relevant experience in a travel agency or corporate travel environment, ideally in a senior or lead consultant role.
Familiarity with GDS or booking platforms (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo) and basic proficiency with office software.
A diploma or degree in Travel & Tourism, Hospitality, Business, or a related field is preferred.
