## Service Line

## Key Responsibilities
* Administer and support enterprise **mainframe storage** environments, including DASD and tape storage systems.
* Configure, monitor, and maintain storage management components such as **DFSMS**, **DFP**, **DFSMSHSM**, **RMM**, **DSS**, **ICF Catalogs**, **VSAM**, and **ICKDSF**.
* Manage tape libraries and virtual tape environments, including **ATL**, **VTS**, **SILOs**, and **IBM TS7700**.
* Perform storage provisioning, allocation, migration, backup, recovery, and space management activities.
* Monitor storage utilization and optimize system performance through capacity planning and performance tuning.
* Investigate and resolve storage-related incidents while ensuring minimal impact to business operations.
* Support backup and restore processes to maintain data availability and business continuity.
* Generate storage usage reports and recommend improvements for resource optimization.
* Collaborate with infrastructure, system programming, and application teams to ensure reliable storage operations.
* Maintain technical documentation and follow established operational procedures and compliance standards.
## Technical & Professional Requirements
* Strong understanding of **IBM Mainframe Storage** architecture and storage management concepts.
* Hands-on experience with IBM storage administration tools and utilities.
* Expertise in **DFSMS**, **DFSMSHSM**, **DFP**, **RMM**, **DSS**, **VSAM**, **ICF Catalogs**, and **ICKDSF**.
* Experience working with **DASD**, tape storage systems, and virtual tape technologies.
* Knowledge of third-party storage management tools such as **FDR/ABR**, **STOPX37**, **CA 1**, **CA Disk**, and **EMC** storage solutions.
* Ability to perform storage performance analysis, troubleshooting, and capacity planning.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Experience supporting enterprise backup, disaster recovery, and data protection strategies is an added advantage.
